Uses of Diode laser in our
clinic :
Diode with Slit Lamp Laser Delivery: Used for:

Diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, eales disease when there is no vitreous haemorrhage. Laser at this stage prevents haemorrhge, and total loss of vision, It can also be used in other conditions causing similar complications .

Retinal Breaks: For Prophylactic Treatment. |

Central Serous Retinopathy
etc. Limitations are
- Can't treat far periphery of retina.
- Can't treat patient in lying position and in general
anaesthesia.

This modality overcomes the limitations of Slit Lamp Delivery System. Its uses
are:

To treat Retinal breaks which are in far periphery of Retina.

Proliferative Retinopathy due to Diabetic, Hypertensive, Eale's disease etc.
- To treat Peripheral retina which can't be reached by Slit Lamp.
- In presence of vitreous haemorrhage and opacities and
cataract (cortical spokes)"
